The Towy Salmon Swimming Club is run by members for members and caters for handicapped people of all ages. We meet at the Carmarthen Leisure Centre in Johnstown every Sunday 4.00 - 5.00pm.

Swimming is an excellent form of exercise and water activities are of particular benefit to people with disabilities. Water therapy aids movement, builds strength and most of all - its great fun!

Help is provided to get people in and out of the pool and support is given to provide confidence in the water. We follow the Halliwick methods of teaching which allow individuals to progress at their own pace and ability.

We welcome swimmers and non-swimmers alike and aim to tailor activities to each individual's needs and aspirations.

Club members also have use of the Learners Pool and the Health Suite in the Leisure Centre which comprises the Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam room.  After swimming these facilities provide excellent relaxation and stimulus especially for those with arthritic conditions.
